Our Friends and Associates

There are many other small businesses in our area that are important to us, and they can be very important to you too.

Places to Stay

Chestnut Hill Ranch Bed and Breakfast
Cher and George are wonderful, entertaining hosts.  Located just a short distance from us, this bed and breakfast is Southern Hospitality at its finest! Whether you want a romantic getaway in a very private, rural setting, wedding, reception, or meeting, Chestnut Hill can meet your needs.

A Great Winery

Grinders Switch Winery
Joey and Gail Chessor are our friends and neighbors.  Just down Hwy 438 from our store, cross the Minnie Pearl Highway (Hwy 50) onto Old Hwy 50 and you'll soon find the Grinders Switch Winery.  They grow their own grapes. They built their own log cabin from trees on the property.  They have a great place for music, hiking trails, and great wine.

Fun

Loretta Lynn's Ranch
Almost next door, actually only 20 miles, Loretta Lynn's Dude Ranch is one of the most popular places in Tennessee.  Camp, bring your RV, tour the plantation, take a trail ride, shop, and tour several museums about the life of Loretta Lynn.

Other Places to Eat

Breeces Cafe
In business for over 60 years, Linda Breece Bates, her sister Sherry, and her mother carry on the traditions of this old fashioned restaurant on the town square of Centerville.  It was the place that Ophelia ate (Sarah Ophelia Colley Cannon, a.k.a Minnie Pearl).  After all, this was her home town.  They know how to cook real country ham the way it is supposed to be cooked--not on a grill like most places.  Great homemade pies too!

Places to Shop

Remember When
A part of the Breeces Cafe business, Linda specializes in Fenton Glass, Yankee Candles, Waterford Crystal, and other great gift merchandise.

Other Country Stores

Tarkington Store
Another old fashioned country store, Tarkington's Store carries on its traditions of music and family entertainment on the bank of Hassells Creek just northeast of Centerville.
