It's
not the products we sell that make us special--it's the
service. We take the time to talk to you. Take
the time to talk to us and you'll find out about the places
to go and the things to do. That's why we have a front
porch with a bench for sitting, and that's why
we have an old fashioned wood burning stove in the
store. These places are for sitting and
talking. While you're on the front porch, take a look
at the community bulletin board. Somebody local might
have something you need.
Tour Maps
We have a pocket sized tour map guide for this area: Music City Backyard Tours. Designed for motorcyclists and car tourists alike, it contains 5 tours. Each tour has photographs of the area, turn-by-turn directions, a detailed map with legends for stores, gasoline, restrooms, etc.
Highway 438 is a motorcyclist's dream highway. It is a beautiful, scenic road that connects the Duck River and the Buffalo Rivers in Tennessee. It's one of the finest motorcycle tours in Middle Tennessee--and one of the most crooked. Just before reaching Hwy 50, the highway has some great switchback curves that most motorcyclist love.
This is a great area for travelers and tourists. There is so much to see that is still unspoiled by too much development and too many "tourist traps." A lot of this area resembles itself 50 years ago, only it's better now. Most of our farmland is in grass cover so the water is clearer and cleaner, and the roads are greatly improved. If you want to see the real country, this is a good place to start.
Need directions? We'll help. Not all GPS units (Global Positioning) understand country roads. Many country roads are almost as good as state highways, but they are less traveled and much more scenic--no billboards. Then, there are the chert roads once mastered by speeding moonshiners. There you'll see country life largely unchanged, peaceful and quiet.
While you're here, we'll gladly sell you some essential things you need. We have a full line of basic grocery needs. If we don't stock it now and you need it, we'll get it.
We're close to a Mennonite community that creates loads of hand-crafted furniture, buildings, and gifts. If we don't have what you're looking for, we'll point you in the right direction to find it.
We also stock a few things that are just for fun: unusual gifts, tee shirts, and more.
We handle a line of convenience items for our area campers, hunters, fishers, and local residents. These include:
